Frequently Asked Questions
QUESTION What is CheckUpCall?
ANSWER CheckUpCall is an automated scheduled calling system using high speed dialing and patented prerecorded message technology to verify the well being of the elderly, infirm, or latchkey children.
QUESTION How does the CheckupCall system work?
ANSWER CheckUpCall customers enter the contact and scheduling information of a vulnerable person in need of periodic checks into the secure CheckUpCall web site. The CheckUpCall scheduler then automatically sends a prerecorded message to the person at the dates and times set up in schedule. In the prerecorded message the person is asked to press a specific button on the phone to indicate that they are "ok".
QUESTION What if the recipient needs immediate assistance?
ANSWER A second button option is provided should that person be in need of assistance, the system will immediately generate a phone call, email, text message and incident report to the designated emergency contact notifying them of the event.
QUESTION What if no one answers?
ANSWER In the case of the CheckUPCall recipient not answering the call after three attempts a prerecorded message, email, text message and incident report is sent to the emergency contact so they can take the appropriate action. Should the primary emergency contact not respond to the incident - the option is provided for backup emergency contact numbers to then be notified by the system.
